Are you licensed and insured?

Can I meet my DJ before I decide to hire him? Yes

Will you put up a banner or sign? No!

If we bring some of our CDs, can you play them? Yes

I've
been to events where the DJ is "cheesy" and the music is
predictable. Do we have to worry about that with Greatime DJs?
Absolutely
not! We understand our clients chose the mountains for their event
because they want it to be unique, upscale and fun. Our DJs are
never predictable, don't have cheesy dj skits and are professional,
fun and inspiring with any master of ceremony tasks they provide.
I've
been to events where the cocktail hour and dinner music sounds like
elevator music. Is this the case with your company? No
way! We love music as much as you do and customize your dinner and
cocktail music to you and your guests liking.
How
far ahead should we book your services? Six
months minimum for our best DJs, a year or more for one of the
owners (Fred or Erik).
Do
you use a written contract? Yes.
How much is
your deposit requirement, if there is one? 40 percent
How can we 'preview' your DJing skills? We provide references
from past brides and grooms that you can call on.
Can we change our booking time when we get closer to our event date?
For example, if we book you for 5 hours, can we change that to 4 or
more hours closer to the date of our event? We have a four hour minimum on pricing, you can change
times anytime before your event.
Do we get to meet with you prior to our event? Yes.
What time will you arrive to our event? A min of one hour before
our contracted start time.
How much time do you allow for set up? One hour min.

Is there a charge to have you set up early, even if you won't be
playing music? Yes, if you require us to be there more than
an hour early to set up then we charge half of our hourly rate.
What do you need the venue to provide for you? Table, skirted or
with table cloth. Electricity.
What happens if you don't show up? We do understand family
emergencies and things like that may come up but is there a back up
plan? It
hasn't happened yet knock on wood! We always have an extra DJ on
standby.
Is there a back up plan should the equipment malfunction? An
extra system available as back up.
Do you need to see the room you'll be working in before the day of
my event? No.
Do you use professional equipment? Yes.
Are you a member of the American Disc Jockey Association? If
not, do you belong to a professional organization or tradegroup?
Yes.
What is the fee per hour to have you DJ our reception? Depending
on DJ $175 - $250 hour 4 hour min.
How many hours will you DJ? 'Till the sun comes up if you like.
Can you act as the MC (ie announcing toasts, first dance, cutting of
cake, etc)? Yes.
Because our wedding would be semi-formal, would you have a problem
following that 'dress code'? Not at all.
How many 'breaks' do you take? How long are they? What would
be happening while you are on 'break' (music, no music)? Music plays continuously, if a meal is offered we que up
a few songs, eat quickly and return to our station asap.
Do you have liability insurance/ workers comp should something
happen? $1 Million Liability.
